Street Art Saturday: Naughty Bunnies and Lower East Side Legs

There’s a bar on the Lower East Side called Leave Rochelle Out of It, Rochelle’s for short, that has some sexy street art on its northern wall.

LES LEGS

Brings to mind after midnights on the LES where everything started sexy and glamorous, and the devolves to gum and garbage and walking barefoot on the filthy streets on New York because your high heels hurt and you’re too drunk to have common sense. See the handle of the artist and you have to love it – @gumshoeart.

If you think stripper heels and exposed cheeks are cheeky, look further down the block and you’ll find bunnies doing what they do best.

They’re even smoking cigarettes as they do their bunny business.

Sorry to disappoint with my lack of sky-high, sexy footwear!

I’ve never been to Rochelle’s during business hours, 4PM-4AM daily. But I have been inside! The bar itself has art on the wall of its entrance. While doing a photoshoot with the amazing Saskia of Hey Saturday, we peered in longly through the window. It was way before bar hours, but a bartender let us in to take some lovely photos in their entrance way.

The staff was so nice, I really need to come back to Rochelle’s when they are actually open. You can find this naughty street art corner and bar at Stanton and Chrystie (205 Chrystie St, New York, NY 10002).
