Banksy has officially left the Bowery. Some brave artist had to follow up the most well known street artist in the world- can you imagine?
Remember Banksy’s return to NYC on the Bowery Wall? This new mural by Tristin Eaton couldn’t be more different. Banksy’s Bowery was stark, simple, almost exclusively black and white. The political message was powerful. Eaton’s wall is chock-a-block full of color and so many different details. I’m slightly confused by the “Intermission” message…but I’m pretty confident it’s not political.
Intermission by Triston Eaton
Now crowds constantly mobbing this one. No infuriating tags being corrected. But there was a huge tree branch in front of the wall when I walked by on Friday!
Color everywhere except for all the people painted in black and white. They remind me of old Hollywood stars.
