Every Friday I feature some fleeting moments from my week that made me stop and think, “I’m so lucky to live in NYC!” This week has been a monster and until today I really haven’t had one minute to stop and think, let alone take a photo! I’m sure you could see my struggle in this week’s blog posts…they are not my best, but at least they exist. My goal of daily blogging continues!
I wasn’t sure I would have ANYTHING for this New York Minutes post, but then today I had a lunch break with no errands to run. The sun was shining, it was warm out FINALLY, people on the streets were smiling! Really, New Yorkers were smiling! All these moments are from my lunch break today!
Walking through Bryant Park which was packed with people and daffodils, both enjoying the weather!
The lawn is still closed, but this couple couldn’t help themselves. Security at Bryant Park is pretty strict, I wonder how long it took them to get kicked off!
Stepping into Whole Foods on 6th and 42nd I looked down and this is what I saw. So many flowers, always an instant pick-me-up!
This biker on the street just had a huge smile on her face! She made me smile too! Hooray it’s shorts weather!
Just another office building in Midtown, but this one is a work of art! The facade here is a mosaic!
This ginger sax man was rocking out. He had so much energy and it was infectious! People on Broadway were literally dancing in the streets! I gave him a dollar, mostly because he was awesome, but also because I took this photo. PSA: If you record street performers for social media or any other purpose, you 100% owe them a tip! Don’t want to tip? Don’t take a photo!
We’ll stick with you, Mary! We enjoy your post too much to not stick!
