Weekly New York Minutes #20

Every Friday I feature some fleeting moments from my week that made me stop and think, “I’m so lucky to live in NYC!” And maybe some that made me think, “Bahaha this city is ridiculous and I love it.” Here we go for this last (what!?) week of May…

Walking to the Long Island City waterfront, I looked up and saw Lady Liberty just hanging out on a rooftop. Her presence seemed entirely random, which of course made me smile. She seems well attended to though, her torch was lit and an almost full moon was keeping her company!

Hanging out on the Long Island City waterfront, enjoying a warm night and the twinkling skyline with my beau. You could even say we star gazed, that white dot in the sky is a celestial body, not dust on my camera lens! This is one of NYC’s lesser known green spaces, at least for those not living in Queens, I need to write a whole post on it because it’s a perfect summer spot!

Brunching with my boyfriend…has basically ruined the New York cliché brunch experience for me. Why? Because he make THE BEST brunches! I don’t mean to brag…but this food photo is straight from my guy’s kitchen. Sweet potato pancakes, sautéed red peppers, avocado, and a poached egg, oh it was as good as it sounds. Absolutely the best brunch in Flushing, Queens, but impossibly exclusive.

It’s grad season! It was fun to see NYU grads flood into Radio City Music Hall, their proud parents buying flowers from pop-up vendors outside. Is there a more iconic place for a New York commencement?

A gorgeous sunset through the dirty window of the Q train. I love when the Q goes above ground to cross into Brooklyn, especially when the timing coincides with sunset! A breath of fresh air from the dark tunnels of train delays.

Those were fun little moments of my week! How was your week?
Also a hug thank you to everyone who has contributed to my Patreon page, it means so much to me!!
