Street Art Saturday: I Lift My Lamp Beside the Golden Door on the High Line

Check out this fresh paint on the High Line!

I Lift My Lamp Beside the Golden Door by  artist Dorothy Ianneone

This brand spanking new High Line mural will be on display from March 2018 – March 2019.

The words of the piece are from the poem that is affixed to the actual Statue of Liberty. There couldn’t be a better message to splash on a wall in one of NYC’s most iconic parks.

Is it really street art? Park art? This piece is a public art commission on one of the most coveted outdoor canvases in NYC.

With the iconic Kiss Mural long gone from the High Line, this colorful mural couldn’t be more welcome. Find it above 22nd Street on the High Line.

    1. Yes, I like this piece more than any other they’ve featured on this wall! There are already plenty of signs of spring on the High Line, though you do have to look for them. Not a bad time to go, but I bet we’ll be getting a spring explosion soon (and maybe a warm front? Maybe??)!
