My pants are always a little tighter this time of year. It’s a holiday cliché to eat too many sweets, cookies, and candies. Bergdorf Goodman, the swankiest luxury department store in New York City, always has my favorite holiday window displays. This year, they indulge our eyes being bigger than our stomachs! Gorge myself on these sweet, sweet windows, and maybe I’ll be able to resist the peppermint bark co-workers keep hawking at the office? (Hahaha yeah right.)
This window was obviously inspired by a Charlie Brown Christmas and the possibility that Peppermint Patty grew up to be a fashion model.
“Bergdorf Goodies” is the official title of their 2018 holiday display.
There is a LOT going on in this window, with so many colorful sweets that my teeth hurt just from looking. But I only have eyes for the macarons- my well-documented favorites.
Licorice! Who would expect a window dedicated such an old-fashioned, controversial candy in 2018?
Licorice, controversial because so many people absolutely hate it, makes for a striking black and white window! I confess, I actually enjoy a good soft licorice. It’s the kind of sweet you either love or hate and I’m glad that would have scared a lesser store away from including it.
Here’s a crowd pleaser: Chocolate
The attention to details in all of these windows is mind boggling.
Ice Cream: A dazzling, monochrome holiday display
I scream, you scream, we all scream- because the kids looking at this Bergdorf Goodman ice cream are so picture-perfect adorable!
But wait! There’s more! This display truly makes me wonder if the witch from Hansel and Gretel moved to NYC…
GINGERBREAD!
I can’t even remember the last time I made a gingerbread house but this window brought back some serious nostalgia.
Also, how incredible is that coat? Bergdorf Goodman holiday windows always highlight their incredible couture. So many shops don’t even attempt this anymore, but Bergdorf succeeds seamlessly. And leaves so many of us staring longingly from the sidewalk, wondering how many rent payments a lollipop-rainbow-sequin suit would actually cost…
Excuse me while I drool all over 5th Avenue.
Hurry up and take a peak at these stunning Bergdorf Goodman Holiday windows…before they disappear after the New Year, like cotton candy when it hits your tongue. Cue the cotton candy window:
This window is incredible, I love the theme! Saks usually has my favourite window, although I love Lord & Taylor too, even if it’s nowhere near as extravagent! x

Love these! I haven’t had time to go window-peeping yet this season but now that I know, I’ll definitely include a trip to BG!me
Thank you for sharing these beautiful windows with us. I am on a sweet overload with everything that has been brought into the office this week and just when I think that there will not be anything else brought in another load of sweetness is dropped off here. I think I am going to just look at the beautiful pictures that you have shared instead of eating something I should not.
Wow, these pictures are just stunning. I love the colourful sweetie one and yes I want that rainbow suit too! New York wouldn’t be the same without stores like this.
There is NOTHING like Christmas in the City! NOTHING! It’s my favorite time to be in and around Manhattan.

These windows are so so festive and pretty! So much creativity and work there! NYC during Christmas sounds so beautiful!
The windows in NY at this time of year are really something else. I love the gingerbread section!! It all looks so pretty. I’ve been for New Year before (which is not my idea of fun) but I’ve never been in early December/ just before Christmas and I’ve always wanted to. It looks so beautiful x

Hands down NYC does Christmas the best! Every year I would walk down 5th avenue in the evening and look at these beautiful windows. I have not been able to do that for many years after I had a stroke(been living w/Parents inn Michigan) Therefore, thank YOU so much for posting these! My Christmas is now complete. <3
