Every Friday I feature some fleeting moments from my week that made me stop and think, “I’m so lucky to live in NYC!” And maybe some that made me think, “Bahaha this city is ridiculous and I love it.” Here we go for the first week that really felt like fall this year!
Rockefeller Center is the best NYC Christmas photo-op. Well, this year 30 Rock is trying to earn that title for fall too! They filled-in the fountains with hundreds of pumpkins, planted every color of mums, and installed a scare crow. Which, I couldn’t help but wonder, if it scares off crows in the country, does it scare off pigeons in the city? When I walked through, the area was flooded with people trying to get the perfect shot – from middle-aged men angling for a flattering selfie to mommy bloggers trying to get the perfect ‘gram of their fab toddler.
Seriously, how fab is she? She must have thousands of followers on Instagram- let me know if you’re one of them!
I had to get to work painfully early on Wednesday, but it was almost worth it to watch this glorious sunrise over Park Avenue.
Bergdorf Goodman always the most incredible window displays. Which is fortunate, because just stepping in the entrance makes me feel poor- I’d much rather stay outside! This is a L-U-X-U-R-Y New York department store when nothing, not even socks, costs less than $100. The windows are especially epic at Christmas, but I greatly enjoyed passing this colorful, shaggy llama themed window this week.
Over heard a tourist look up at this brown building and legitimately ask his wife, “Is that the Empire State Building?” Almost shouted at him, “GET THE FUCK OUTTA HEEE’AH!” But I’m not a native New Yorker, so I silently judged and blogged about it instead.
That kid is the coolest kid ever!
Also, loved your last one. Firstly, that tourist is an idiot! But secondly, I so hope they read this haha!
