Every Friday I feature some fleeting moments from my week that made me stop and think, “I’m so lucky to live in NYC!” And maybe some that made me think, “Bahaha this city is ridiculous and I love it.” Here we go for this rainy Election week…
I spent the first rainy morning of hurricane season as a “course marshal” for Race for a Cure! An excuse to wear a poncho with no shame and bike around Central Park, all for a good cause! So many people came out despite the dreary weather. Honestly, running a race (or biking many miles around it!) is much more comfortable in a constant light drizzle than sweltering heat and sunshine- so we kind of lucked out weather-wise! It was a fun and inspiring event.
Looking out the window of the 7 train, I discovered where all the taxis go when they’re tired of picking people up. It’s a Cab Club House! I won’t give away the exact location, Ubers might try to infiltrate it… The sea of yellow is certainly striking.
If the streets on NYC are any indication, the Hamilton craze has not settled down one bit. Anyone want to call this phone number and see who picks up? I’m too scared! And also too busy!
We have the Race for Life in the UK…do you have that too or is this the US equivalent?
