Eduardo Kobra Paints the Mural NYC Truly Needs Right Now: Mother Theresa and Gandhi in High Line Technicolor

Eduardo Kobra, whose stellar Michael Jackson mural I shared a few weeks ago, hasn’t left New York City yet! Last week a brand new piece went up along the High Line in Chelsea, just blocks from the site of his first iconic NYC mural. I couldn’t be more thrilled!

The mural colorfully depicts two of the most selfless souls the world has ever known, Mother Theresa and Mahatma Gandhi.

How beautiful and inspiring is this?

Humanitarians aren’t ever the people who get plastered on the side of buildings. As the news gets bleaker every day, this is exactly what I want to see on my horizon. In the most cheerful colors possible.

Thanks, Eduardo Kobra, for knowing New York City needed this.

You’ll remember the last Eduardo Kobra iconic image that was seen from the High Line was a mural depicting the VJ Kiss. As much as I loved that mural, it was depicting an iconic but decidedly problematic moment – a 100% non-consensual kiss on the streets of Times Square.

This new Eduardo Kobra mural, seen for NYC’s High Line, is pure peace and hope.

Take a stroll on the High Line and keep your eyes pealed for this burst of color. Or go directly to the source: this street art is located at 10th Avenue and 18th Street.

Thanks to Madhatters NYC for tipping me off to this awesome new art!
