SUNday #8: Snapshots of Sunny San Francisco

This winter season I’m devoting every Sunday on this blog to SUN! What our skin lacks in Vitamin D we will make up for with our eyes! Together we will combat the winter blues, living vicariously through pictures of greener, sunnier pastures!

“March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.” True to cliché, it is snowing in NYC as I type. My battle against the winter blues continues with:

SUNday #8: Snapshots of the City by the Bay

San Francisco mural
San Francisco has more murals than any other city I’ve been to.
dolores-park
Quintessential (you could also say cliché) view from Dolores Park.
castro-street
Blue skies, Castro Street, gay pride, and public art.
transamerica pyramid
The iconic Transamerica Pyramid and City Lights Books instillation at the cross roads of Chinatown and North beach.
ferry-building-charolette
The ferry building has a fantastic farmers market and great views of the Bay Bridge. Charlotte and I are excited cause we have “totes San Francisco” totes.
ferry-building-palm-trees
There’s just something about palm trees that make you remember you will be warm outdoors again. Someday.
farmers-market-san-francisco
AH I MISS CALIFORNIA PRODUCE. It’s just never quite the same here!
The Bay Bridge
The Bay Bridge, the oft forgotten sister of the Golden Gate. At night though she takes off her glasses and is the prettier sister with cascading lights.

Ah, I left my non-frozen heart in sunny San Francisco!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! If you need more sunshine, click for previous SUNdays.

    1. I don’t have a driver’s license- such an NY cliche- so LA is hard for me to get around! But one of my crazy smart best friends is getting her PhD at UCLA, she was awesome about driving me around last time I visited, I’m sure I’ll be back before she graduates.
